Kronstadt Impulse is the latest project from Tudor-Radu Barbu aka Dirty Culture.

Over the years, Romania born Tudor has firmly established himself as one of Eastern Europe’s most successful deep house producers. He began writing music back in 2004 under the pseudonyms Dj Pysu and White Noise with numerous vinyl releases. In 2006 Dirty Culture was born, a name that was soon to dominate the download charts with releases on labels such as Einmaleins Musik, Neurotraxx, Loco Records, Recycle, Greelpound, Sweetleaf, Affin and his own TheSounds imprint.

Recognised for his diverse array of sounds, Tudor combines tribal percussion with elements of jazz and funk to create mind-blowing rhythms that justify why he is one of the best-selling deep house artists in both the physical and digital domain.

Henry Gilles ‘Merci EP’ – Released 31.08.10

1) ‘Merci’
2) ‘Open House’

In a little short of six months Assembly Records have pieced together a carefully selected roster of artists and begun to develop a sound that has attracted praise from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Tim Green, Simon Baker, Rozzo (Mountain People), Ashley Beedle, Burnski, Slam and Johnny D amongst many others. This latest release sees Assembly unearth some exciting new talent in the shape of Henry Gilles.

The EP kicks off in future retro style with Merci. Soft sultry chords filter around an abundance of ethnic percussion while the spoken word and choral vocals deliver that essential hypnotic element.

Open House is your 4am clarion call to the dance floor! Dense tribal percussion and lashings of low-end frequencies demonstrate the slightly darker yet equally appealing side of Henry’s sound.

Support:
Ashley Beedle, Terry Francis, Moodymanc, Shur-I-Kan, Slam & Elmar Schubert.

As both DJ and producer Henry Gilles is, without doubt, one of the most prolific young talents to emerge on electronic music scene for quite some time.

Originally from Munich, Henry currently resides in Istanbul, a recent move that has both influenced and inspired his production work.

Henry’s renowned for his warm, deep house that combines elements of Motown and Funk to percussive rhythms and low-lying bass lines.

Henry’s remixes and original works have been featured on a range of labels including Beiak Records, Logo Tunisia, FM Musik and Assembly.

Lucas Keizer, originally from Jakarta Indonesia, begun DJing in what is now his home state of Texas back in 1999. In 2007, having completing studies in Audio Engineering and Music Production, he established Homesick Recordings. Around this time he was also releasing work on heavyweight labels such as Tango, Kolor, Guesthouse and Einmaleins.

Things couldn’t be better for Lucas with his original productions reaching numerous top 10 charts and gaining global support from the likes of Dubfire, Deep Dish, Simon Baker, Johnny D, Fred Everything and Raoul Belmans amongst many others.

Hard hitting tech house beats infused with elements of Jazz, Soul and Funk is how Lucas best describes his sound ranging from ice cold deep house to warm summer time vibes.

Its been an exciting, challenging and occasionally very difficult 6 months but, at last, things are really starting to take shape. We’ve secured a fantastic distributor in the form of Label Worx and have been approved by all major download stores. We have also compiled a full release schedule for the next 4 months that includes music from some ground breaking new artists as well as some more established household names.

Work is ongoing with the website. We are adding new things everyday and ironing out the odd bug here and there so please bear with us!

A huge thank you to Ashley at Green Chilli Design for all your hard work and your patience!

Brett Lawrence has gained notoriety throughout his career by programming sets that are as well-crafted and sophisticated as they are danceable.

Fashioning his sound for over a decade, Brett encompasses everything from delicate deep house to rolling techno.

With a versatile and open-minded approach, he manages to strike a balance between heavy floor tracks and elegant crowd-pleasers whilst showing an obvious ability to work and surprise his audience.

In the studio, Brett continues to hone his craft taking influence from early Chicago in delivering deep, percussive grooves that exploit live recordings and natural elements.

Brett’s recent production work has been favoured by the likes of Johnny D, Dubfire, Stephan Bodzin, Tim Green, Abe Duque, Dirt Crew, Joris Voorn, James Talk, Moodymanc and Gel Abril amongst others.
